Activity A5. Carrying out information and publicity activities
General information
Activity A5. involves the creation of information and publicity materials and their dissemination on the project’s media channels, and not only, to raise awareness of the target group on the conservation of peatland ecosystems. The activity will be carried out throughout the implementation period of the project.
Publication of children’s storybook
The book Wandering through the peatlands is another outcome of the NWPEAT project, with the selected characters identified in the field in most of the peatlands.
Publication of restoration guide
This guide highlights the restoration works based on monitoring campaigns conducted in all 10 sites and associated restoration schemes.

The Faculty of Geography and the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research are organizing the closing conference of the NWPEAT project on 19 April 2024.

Another scientific result associated with the NWPEAT project was published in the volume of the international conference “Air and Water – Components of the Environment”.

Two presentations by NWPEAT team members were given at one international conference.

Some of the NWPEAT team members have been on an ERASMUS mobility to the University of Eastern Finland.

As part of the restoration works, each site will include the placement of a billboard.
Exchange of best practices in Norway
Some of the NWPEAT team members from Babeș-Bolyai University were on an exchange visit to the Norwegian partner, the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research.
