Activity A5. Carrying out information and publicity activities
General information
Activity A5. involves the creation of information and publicity materials and their dissemination on the project’s media channels, and not only, to raise awareness of the target group on the conservation of peatland ecosystems. The activity will be carried out throughout the implementation period of the project.
About peatlands located in the North-West Region at the International Conference Water Resources and Waterlands
Some members of the NWPEAT project participated in the 6th International Conference Water Resources and Waterlands.
Happy World Peatlands Day!
The NWPEAT team celebrated World Peatlands Day on 2 June 2023 with a field trip at Tinovul La Poduri.
Promoting peatlands during the Green Week
During Green Week, hosted by the Faculty of Geography, we enjoyed the visit of children from George Coșbuc National High School.
Hărnicești Peatland from Desești will be restored within NWPEAT Project
One of the peatlands that will be restored by the NWPEAT project will be Harnicești Peatland.
World Peatlands Day – another event celebrating peatlands
The Faculty of Geography of Babeș-Bolyai University, together with the Norwegian partner Institute for Nature Research, will celebrate World Peatlands Day.

Because water affects us all, we need everyone to take action.

20 March is World Frog Day. The NWPEAT project celebrates the presence of different species of frogs, the main inhabitants of peatlands.
