World Wetlands Day celebrated with photo-documentary exhibition

The Faculty of Geography, Babeș-Bolyai University, together with the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research, will celebrate World Wetlands Day with a photo-documentary exhibition. The event is organized in the framework of the “Wetland and Peatland Restoration in the Northwest Region (NWPEAT)” project. The event will be organised on 2-9 February 2024, at Lateralia Gallery, Central University Library “Lucian Blaga” in Cluj-Napoca. This year’s edition aims to celebrate the connection between wetlands and human well-being.

World Wetlands Daycelebrated internationally on 2 February, marks the signing in 1971 of the Ramsar Convention, ratified by Romania. The Convention sets the framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and the resources they provide.
