The time has come to carry out restoration activities for the two peatlands in Bistrita-Nasaud. The first is Tinovul Teșna Împuțită, where artificial drainage during the socialist period has left its mark on the peat. Creating dams to retain water in the peat bog was one of the restoration measures implemented. A billboard and several tourist orientation signs have been installed to increase the visibility of the peat bog, especially as it is close to the Via Transilvanica route.
