World Wetlands Day 2023

The Faculty of Geography within Babeș-Bolyai University, together with the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research, will celebrate World Wetlands Day with a workshop on 2-3 February 2023 within the project “Wetland and Peatland Restoration in the Northwest Region (NWPEAT)”.
During the workshop, the first day will be dedicated to panel discussions related to biodiversity, water resources, and tourism development of peatland ecosystems, and the second day will involve an in situ visit to the Mlaștina de la Iaz (Sălaj county), a peatland included in the NWPEAT project.
During the event, there will also be a photographic exhibition entitled “MEET PEATS”.
