Publication of children’s storybook

In the pages of the children’s storybook, Wandering through the peatlands,Turbel – a red mountain frog(Rana temporaria), discovers, together with his friend Maronilă, a mountain lizard(Zootoca vivipara), the fascinating world of peat bogs and the benefits of peatland ecosystems. At the same time, the relevance of restoration work is also emphasised in this children’s material.
The book is another outcome of the NWPEAT project, with selected characters identified in the field in most of the peatlands. We thank the signatories of the text, the illustrations, the graphics, and the publishing house Ecou Transilvan for their efforts.
Copies of these books will reach children in the local communities associated with the 10 peatlands restored through the NWPEAT project.
