Publication date:<\/strong> 27.09.2022<\/p>\n <\/p>\n World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on 27 September by the affiliated members of the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The day celebrates the role of tourism and its impact on society. The theme of the 2022 edition is “Rethinking tourism”. The official World Tourism Day celebration will be held in Indonesia, advocating for more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient tourism.<\/p>\n One of the aims of the NWPEAT project is to raise awareness among local communities and tourists of the tourism values that peatlands offer.
